A little about me…
I started volunteering at Adopt-A-Pet Animal Shelter back in 1990, which was housed in Morton Grove Animal Hospital. After 2 years of volunteer work, they offered me a position on staff as a kennel attendant which included feeding, walking, bathing and grooming animals. I’ve worked a wide variety of animals and pets of all behavioral types – including feral animals. During my time at Morton Grove Animal Hospital I worked with squirrels, ducklings, chipmunks, raccoons and even wild rabbits to return them to the wild. Besides working at the animal hospital, i also have experience working in pet stores and I am a certified dog groomer.
My love for animals began early and as a child I had dogs, cats, a rabbit, lizards, lovebirds, hamsters and a guinea pig. Now my furry family consists of 2 dogs which are Catahoula Aussie rescue mix brothers, Murphy and Magoo, and Chipa, a black and white domestic short-haired cat who I found in my shed with his 2 brothers. We also have 2 African clawed frogs (my daughter brought home from school needed a home) and a bearded dragon.
